Regular Season Round 21: Roma Luiss - Avellino 66-62

Not a big story in a game when 14th ranked Avellino (4-15) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked Roma Luiss (12-9) 66-62 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Avellino was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Point guard Marco Pasqualin (178-97) stepped up and scored 17 points for the winners and power forward Francesco Infante (202-92) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Serbian swingman Vladimir Rajacic (200-0) with 10 points and 8 rebounds and center Andrea Locci (203-93) scored 9 points and 6 rebounds. Four Avellino players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Roma Luiss moved-up to sixth place in B. Loser Avellino keeps the fourteenth position with 15 games lost. Roma Luiss' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Roma to the arena Palestrina.
