Regular Season Round 35: Gifu Swoops - Kanazawa 81-71

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 12th ranked Kanazawa's (5-30) road loss to eleventh ranked Gifu Swoops (8-26) 71-81. It was an exceptional evening for American forward AJ John (202-96, college: UC Davis) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds. His fellow American import center Joe Wolfinger (214-85, college: Citadel) accounted for 17 points and 19 rebounds for the winning side. Bahamas center Gjio Bain (212-85, college: S.Mississippi) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds and American guard Andre Murray (188-87, college: Portland St.) added 17 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Kanazawa in the defeat. Four Kanazawa players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Gifu Swoops maintains eleventh place with 8-26 record. Kanazawa lost their sixth game in a row. They stay dead last with 30 lost games. Gifu Swoops' next round opponent will be again bottom-ranked Kanazawa (#12) in Ishikawa.
