Regular Season Round 21: Tarnovia - Pleszew 71-72

The most exciting game of round 21 in the 2Liga took place in Tarnowo Podgorne. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 7th ranked Tarnovia (9-9) to fifth ranked Pleszew (11-8) 72-71 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Tarnovia. It was a good game for point guard Marcin Plawucki (177-89) who saved his team from a defeat with 23 points. Point guard Mikolaj Serbakowski (184-96) contributed with 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Forward Seweryn Sroczynski (196-95) answered with 27 points and point guard Pawel Mowlik (184-89) added 15 points in the effort for Tarnovia. Tarnovia's coach Rafal Urbaniak rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Pleszew maintains fifth place with 11-8 record, which they share with 3 other teams. Tarnovia at the other side keeps the seventh position with nine games lost. Pleszew will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tarnovia will play on the road against the league's leader Slask 2 WRC (#1) in Wroclaw and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
