Very important is a road loss of second ranked Deportivo Valdivia (17-15) against fourth ranked Temuco (15-17) on Saturday night. Visiting Deportivo Valdivia was defeated by Temuco in Temuco 75-65. The best player for the winners was American swingman Alssene Saintilus (201-93, college: Bloomsburg) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Kenny Wormley (193-96, college: Hofstra) chipped in 21 points and 4 assists. Four Temuco players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Argentinian center Ignacio Alessio (203-87) who recorded 20 points and 5 rebounds and American point guard Dion Dixon (191-89, college: Cincinnati, agency: Duran International) added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. The victory was the third consecutive win for Temuco. They moved-up to third place. Defending champion Deportivo Valdivia keeps the second position with 15 games lost.
