Very expected game when 11th ranked Oleggio (5-14) was defeated at home by third ranked Firenze (16-4) 84-70 on Saturday. Firenze outrebounded Oleggio 43-29 including a 15-0 advantage in offensive rebounds. Naturalized Serbian power forward Bogdan Milojevic (200-98) stepped up and scored 21 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and guard Simone Berti (196-85) chipped in 16 points and 10 rebounds. Four Firenze players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Matteo Maruca (186-97) with 12 points and 5 rebounds and guard Filippo Testa (193-97, agency: SPORTlab Agency) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). Firenze maintains third place in B with 16-4 record behind leader Benedetto CE. Loser Oleggio keeps the eleventh position with 14 games lost. Firenze will have a break next round. Oleggio will play on the road against Piombino (#5) and hope to win that game.
