Regular Season Round 20: Tartu Ulikool - TLU/Kalev 96-80

Everything went according to plan when ninth ranked Tartu Ulikool (7-12) beat at home 13th ranked TLU/Kalev (5-16) 96-80 on Saturday. Tartu Ulikool shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 53.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international Kregor Hermet (205-97) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Robert Valge (194-97) chipped in 28 points and 4 assists. American forward RJ McGhee (198-91, college: Oklahoma City) produced 15 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and his fellow American import center Michael Buchanan (212-94, college: USC Upstate) added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Five Tartu Ulikool and four TLU/Kalev players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Despite that victory Tartu Ulikool went down to tenth position due to points difference. TLU/Kalev lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with 16 games lost. Tartu Ulikool will meet higher ranked Jurmala (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. TLU/Kalev will play against Valga-Valka (#15) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
