Regular Season Round 36: Toyoda Gosei - Shizuoka 81-70

B3 League top team - Toyoda Gosei (27-9) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat ninth ranked Shizuoka (13-21) in Aichi 81-70. Toyoda Gosei looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The winners were led by American JD Weatherspoon (198-92, college: Toledo) who scored that evening 24 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import Luke Evans (203-91, college: CBU) supported him with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Even 16 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists by American forward Roschon Prince (198-94, college: Detroit Mercy) did not help to save the game for Shizuoka. Beninese forward Muusa Dama (207-96, college: EIU, agency: Blacktop Management) added 13 points and 5 rebounds. Four Shizuoka players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Toyoda Gosei have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 27-9 record. Newly promoted Shizuoka keeps the ninth place with 21 games lost. Toyoda Gosei will meet Tokyo CR (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Shizuoka will play against Iwate Big Bulls and hope to secure a win.
