We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when twelfth ranked Estudiantes L. (5-11) rolled over 11th ranked Univ.Valladolid (5-11) in Lugo 93-56 on Sunday. Estudiantes L. forced 23 Univ.Valladolid turnovers and outrebounded them 39-23 including 29 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Univ.Valladolid's players. It was a very good performance for Mark Hetor (197-1) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 9 rebounds. Gabriel Gomez (195-95) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Five Estudiantes L. players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Estudiantes L. moved-up to tenth place in Group A-B, which they share with Univ.Valladolid and Xiria. Estudiantes L. will face higher ranked Obradoiro S. (#6) in Santiago de Comp in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Univ.Valladolid will play at home against Fontedoso Carrefour (#3) and hope to win that game.
