The game in Gdynia was also quite interesting. Third ranked Start (15-5) played at the court of 5th ranked Asseco Arka (13-7). Start managed to secure a 6-point victory 81-75 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Asseco Arka. The winners were led by American-Jamaican guard Brynton Lemar (193-95, college: UC Davis) who scored that evening 20 points and 5 rebounds and Mateusz Dziemba (192-92, agency: Octagon Europe) supported him with 16 points. Four Start players scored in double figures. Even 24 points and 7 assists by the former international point guard Krzysztof Szubarga (178-84) did not help to save the game for Asseco Arka. American swingman Josh Bostic (196-87, college: Findlay, OH) added 20 points and 9 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) for the hosts. Asseco Arka's coach Przemyslaw Frasunkiewicz rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Start have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 15-5 record behind leader Stelmet Enea. Loser Asseco Arka keeps the fifth place with seven games lost. Start will meet at home bottom-ranked Polpharma (#16) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Asseco Arka will play against BM Slam Stal (#12) in Ostrow Wlkp. and hope to secure a win.
