Regular Season Round 21: Puerto Montt - Quilicura 109-75

Rather expected game when 6th ranked Quilicura (4-28) was rolled over on the road by third ranked Puerto Montt (18-14) 109-75 on Sunday. Puerto Montt outrebounded Quilicura 46-33 including a 39-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 37 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Quilicura's players. The best player for the winners was the former international center Manny Suarez (208-93, college: Creighton) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists. American Durrell Summers (196-89, college: Michigan St.) chipped in 27 points and 5 rebounds. Five Puerto Montt players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Abiodun Adegoke (203-91, college: Midwestern St., agency: Interperformances) who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and 17 rebounds and the other American import center Kieston Standfield (201, college: Middle Georgia) added 23 points and 7 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fifteenth consecutive win for Puerto Montt. They moved-up to second place. Loser Quilicura keeps the sixth position with 28 games lost.
