Regular Season Round 41: Fukushima - Aomori W. 89-80

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 4th placed Aomori W. (18-22) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Fukushima (12-27) 89-80 on Sunday. American forward Shaheed Davis (206-94, college: UCF) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and American-Jamaican forward Staphon Blair (206-93, college: UCF) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. American swingman Lakeem Jackson (195-90, college: S.Carolina, agency: SDJ Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 16 rebounds and 9 assists and the other American import Marcus Dove (206-85, college: Oklahoma St.) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 17 rebounds. Four Aomori W. players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Fukushima maintains fifth place with 12-27 record. Aomori W. lost their third game in a row. They keep the fourth position with 22 games lost. Fukushima will face league's second-placed Kagawa FA in Takamatsu in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Aomori W. will play on the road against Bambitious N. in Nara and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
