The game had a very big importance for second-ranked San Miniato as it allowed them to take a leadership position in B. San Miniato smashed 10th ranked Capo d'Orlando at home 71-52. Guard Gianluca Carpanzano (188-95) nailed 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side and swingman Matteo Neri (191-98) accounted for 13 points and 9 rebounds. Four San Miniato players scored in double figures. Guard Gianpaolo Riccio (193-96, college: Ave Maria) came up with 14 points and 8 rebounds and center Enrico Di-Coste (218-95, college: Northwood) added 7 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Capo d'Orlando in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Capo d'Orlando at the other side keeps the tenth place with 13 games lost. Capo d'Orlando will play next round against Alba trying to get back on the winning streak. San Miniato will try to continue on its current victory against twelfth ranked Valsesia on the road.
