There was a surprise result when sixteenth ranked Scauri (3-18) won against at home higher ranked Nardo (11-9) 64-52 on Sunday. They outrebounded Nardo 38-26 including 31 on the defensive glass. Guard Roberto Chessari (194-0) stepped up and scored 19 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and Riccardo Murri (-0) chipped in 21 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was guard Michele Peroni (190-94) with 18 points and 5 rebounds and forward Alessandro Azzaro (202-93) scored 11 points. Scauri maintains sixteenth place in B with 3-18 record. Loser Nardo dropped to the ninth position with nine games lost. Scauri will face higher ranked Bisceglie (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
