There was a small surprise in Tortona where ninth ranked SS Napoli (12-11) won against 6th ranked Derthona TRT (12-11) 79-67 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was American power forward Brandon Sherrod (198-92, college: Yale) who scored 8 points and 10 rebounds. His fellow American import Terrence Roderick (196-88, college: UAB) chipped in 14 points and 4 assists. Latvian Andrejs Grazulis (202-93) produced 21 points and 9 rebounds and Turkish guard Jamarr Sanders (193-88, college: UAB, agency: Two Points) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. SS Napoli moved-up to seventh place in A2. SS Napoli will face higher ranked Edilnol Bl (#4) in Biella in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Derthona TRT will play at home against Blu Basket TVG (#6) and hope to win that game.
