Regular Season Round 21: AB Ancud - Los Leones 116-88

There was a small surprise when fifth ranked AB Ancud (17-15) outleveled at home their close opponent Los Leones (13-19) 116-88 on Sunday. AB Ancud shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was Argentinian Lisandro Rasio (198-90) who scored 23 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). American forward Travion Leonard (205-93, college: Barry) chipped in 20 points and 9 rebounds. Five AB Ancud players scored in double figures. AB Ancud's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Italian-Argentinian center Omar Canton (206-82) who recorded 31 points and 7 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) and the former international point guard Eduardo Marechal (186-85) added 18 points respectively. The victory was the eleventh consecutive win for AB Ancud. They moved-up to second place, which they share with CDU Concepcion and CD Valdivia. Los Leones lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifth position with 19 games lost.
