Regular Season Round 13: Ragusa - Sibenik 92-61

An interesting game for Ragusa (13-0) which hosted in Dubrovnik 4th placed Sibenik (9-4). Leader Ragusa had an easy win 92-61. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Sibenik. Ragusa dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Sibenik's 24. They outrebounded Sibenik 61-20 including a 23-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Ragusa players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. The former international power forward Ivona Matic (190-86) stepped up and scored 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and Katarina Zarac (170-83) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. Four Ragusa players scored in double figures. At the losing side Nives Dzafic (-90) responded with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and international point guard Josipa Silov (171-98) scored 14 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the thirteenth consecutive win for Ragusa. They maintain first place with 13-0 record. Sibenik at the other side keeps the fourth position with four games lost. Ragusa will play against FSV Rijeka (#6) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Sibenik will play against KK Zadar and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
