Very significant was Nuggets' (#1, 39-15) victory against 4th ranked Spurs (22-31) 127-120. Nuggets made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 18 long-distance shots on high 51.4 percentage. Nuggets looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists. Serbian center Nikola Jokic (209-95, agency: BeoBasket) had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 8 rebounds and 13 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Canadian swingman Jamal Murray (198-97, college: Kentucky) chipped in 26 points and 6 assists during the contest. Power forward LaMarcus Aldridge (211-85, college: Texas) responded with 33 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Dejounte Murray (193-96, college: Washington) scored 14 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Nuggets have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 39-15 record. Spurs lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with 31 games lost. Nuggets will have a break next day. Spurs will play on the road against Thunder (#3) in Oklahoma City and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
