Very expected game in Oakland where 5th ranked Warriors (12-42) were defeated by first ranked Heat (35-18) 113-101 on Monday. Heat dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Warriors' 38. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 36 assists comparing to just 23 passes made by Warriors' players. Swingman Jimmy Butler (201-89, college: Marquette) had a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and Bam Adebayo (208-97, college: Kentucky) chipped in 13 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Guard Damion Lee (198-92, college: Louisville) responded with 26 points (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and forward Marquese Chriss (206-97, college: Washington) scored 17 points and 9 rebounds. Five Heat and four Warriors players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Heat maintains first position with 35-18 record. Warriors lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 42 games lost.
