Regular Season Round 24: Le Portel - Gravelines 80-61
Date: February 10, 2020
Bottom-ranked Le Portel managed to get a fourth victory, breaking the eleven-game losing streak on Monday night. This time they outleveled sixteenth-ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque 80-61. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Gravelines-Dunkerque's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Kwan Cheatham-Jr (208-95, college: Akron, agency: Two Points) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import guard DAngelo Harrison (193-93, college: St.John's, agency: 3Eye) who added 18 points and 5 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was naturalized Congolese Jean-Michel Mipoka (198-85) with 12 points and 5 rebounds and North Macedonian swingman Vojdan Stojanovski (194-87) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Gravelines-Dunkerque's coach let to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Le Portel maintains eighteenth position with 4-19 record. Gravelines-Dunkerque lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventeenth place with 17 games lost. Le Portel will meet higher ranked SIG Strasbourg (#10) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
