Very expected game when 9th ranked Netanya (7-11) lost on the road to fourth ranked Elitzur Yavne (12-6) 91-80 on Tuesday. Elitzur Yavne outrebounded Netanya 44-25 including a 31-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for American forward Billy McShepard (208-87, college: Valdosta St., agency: Blacktop Management) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 15 rebounds. Canadian-Jamaican guard Daniel Mullings (189-91, college: N.Mexico St.) contributed with 28 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) for the winners. American guard Rashad Madden (196-92, college: Arkansas) replied with 20 points and 5 assists and his fellow American import forward Bryce Washington (198-96, college: La-Lafayette) added 17 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Netanya. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Elitzur Yavne have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with H.Haifa. Loser Netanya dropped to the tenth position with 11 games lost. Elitzur Yavne will face Ironi Kiryat Ata (#5) on the road in the next round.
