The game in New Orleans supposed to be also quite interesting. 4th placed Trail Blazers (25-30) played at the court of fifth ranked Pelicans (22-32). Pelicans smashed Trail Blazers 138-117 on Tuesday. Pelicans made 26-of-32 free shots (81.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 40 assists comparing to just 21 passes made by Trail Blazers' players. Trail Blazers were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for forward Zion Williamson (202-0, college: Duke) who led his team to a victory with 31 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Point guard Jrue Holiday (193-90, college: UCLA) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 assists for the winners. Center Hassan Whiteside (213-89, college: Marshall) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds and point guard Damian Lillard (190-90, college: Weber St.) added 20 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Trail Blazers. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Pelicans have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 22-32 record. Loser Trail Blazers keep the fourth position with 30 games lost. Pelicans will have a break next day. Trail Blazers will play on the road against Grizzlies (#3) in Memphis and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
