Regular Season Round 24: Levallois - Strasbourg 97-89

Very predictable result when fourth ranked Levallois (17-6) beat at home 10th ranked SIG Strasbourg (9-14) 97-89 on Tuesday. Levallois looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Zimbabwean power forward Vitalis Chikoko (208-91) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. American point guard Briante Weber (188-92, college: VCU) chipped in 25 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American Gabe York (190-93, college: Arizona) who recorded 28 points and his fellow American import guard Scottie Reynolds (185-87, college: Villanova, agency: Wasserman) added 14 points and 7 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Levallois maintains fourth position with 17-6 record. Loser SIG Strasbourg keeps the tenth place with 14 games lost. Levallois will face Chorale de Roanne (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. SIG Strasbourg will play against Le Portel (#18) and hope to win that game.
