Regular Season Round 7: Dinamo - Hyundai 85-72

Another exciting game was again a derby match of two local teams from Tbilisi: Dinamo (#1) and Hyundai (#4). Dinamo (6-0) won against visiting Hyundai (4-2) 85-72. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Hyundai. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 85-72. Dinamo forced 23 Hyundai turnovers. It was a great evening for forward Vladimer Tavakarashvili (197-2) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Swingman Mate Kapanadze (193-2) helped adding 12 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. At the losing side forward Jaba Jmukhadze (181-3) responded with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Levan Qvartskhava (189-2) scored 11 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Dinamo have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 6-0 record. Loser Hyundai keeps the fourth position with two games lost. Dinamo will meet at home Kutaisi 2 (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hyundai's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tbilisi to the arena Zaza.
