Regular Season Round 24: Bourg - Cholet 74-72

Important game to mention about took place in Bourg. Sixth ranked JL Bourg (15-8) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 5th ranked Cholet Basket (14-9) 74-72 in the game for the fifth place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Cholet Basket. JL Bourg made 19-of-22 charity shots (86.4 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Cholet Basket turnovers. It was a good game for Serbian swingman Danilo Andjusic (195-91, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory with 23 points and 4 assists. American forward Jackie Carmichael (205-90, college: Illinois St.) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Greek power forward Chris Horton (203-94, college: Austin Peay) replied with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) and American point guard Michael Stockton (185-89, college: Westminster, UT) added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Cholet Basket. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. JL Bourg moved-up to fifth place. Cholet Basket at the other side dropped to the sixth position with nine games lost. JL Bourg will play against Le Mans (#9) on the road in the next round. Cholet Basket will play against Chalon/Saor and hopes to get back on the winning track.
