The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Alcobendas as it allowed them to take a leadership position in Group B. Alcobendas smashed 13th ranked CB Guadalajara at home 91-58. Alcobendas dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to CB Guadalajara's 20. They outrebounded CB Guadalajara 46-25 including a 14-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Alcobendas looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by CB Guadalajara's players. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Miguel Young (200-90) who helped to win the game recording 29 points (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and power forward Roberto Morentin (204-81, college: UCF) who added 8 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Alcobendas' coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Raul Lazaro (195-87) responded with 15 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Antonio Izquierdo (190-93, agency: Promo Sport ID) scored 11 points. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. CB Guadalajara at the other side keeps the thirteenth place with 13 games lost. CB Guadalajara will play next round against Estudiantes B trying to get back on the winning streak. Alcobendas will try to continue on its current victory against fifteenth ranked Lanzarote in Arrecife.
