Regular Season Round 33: BC Nokia - Ura Basket 90-82

Date: February 12, 2020
No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked BC Nokia (15-17) defeated at home 10th ranked Ura Basket (10-21) 90-82. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 20-6. But Ura Basket won second period 27-26. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when BC Nokia won last quarter 27-21. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Ura Basket to just 6 points in first quarter. BC Nokia dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Ura Basket's 22. Ura Basket was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. The game was dominated by American players. It was a good game for forward Stacy Davis (199-94, college: Pepperdine, agency: Slash Sports) who led his team to a victory with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Swingman Ladarius Tabb (197-93, college: AAMU) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Forward Darious Moten (199-92, college: Mercer) answered with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds and swingman TreShaun Fletcher (201-94, college: Toledo) added 16 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Ura Basket. Four Ura Basket players scored in double figures. Ura Basket's coach Kristian Palotie rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. BC Nokia maintains seventh place with 15-17 record. Ura Basket lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 21 games lost. BC Nokia will play against Kouvot (#8) in Kouvola in the next round. Ura Basket will play at home against the league's second-placed Vilpas where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
