Date: February 12, 2020
Twelfth-ranked Bologna (5-13) used its home court advantage to challenge sixth ranked Sesto SG (11-7) on Wednesday. The visitors from Sesto San Giovanni managed to secure only three-point victory 73-70. However their fans expected much easier game. Sesto SG made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. American swingman Brooque Williams (175-89, college: California, PA, agency: Two Points) notched 24 points and 5 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) to lead the effort and the other American import forward Sophie Brunner (186-95, college: ASU) supported her with 10 points and 9 rebounds. Four Sesto SG players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 28 points and 13 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) by American center Isabelle Harrison (190-93, college: Tennessee) did not help to save the game for Bologna. Spanish point guard Angela Salvadores (178-97, college: Duke) added 17 points. Sesto SG moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Lucca. Newly promoted Bologna keeps the twelfth position with 13 games lost. Sesto SG will meet at home Lucca (#5) in the next round.
