Sokol Lancut made 22-of-25 charity shots (88.0 percent) during the game. Point guard Piotr Wieloch (182-94) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points (was perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line !!!). Swingman Bartlomiej Karolak (199-92) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Sokol Lancut's coach Dariusz Kaszowski allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Pawel Zmarlak (195-82, agency: Promotex) answered with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Norbert Kulon (187-92) added 14 points and 7 assists in the effort for GKS Tychy. Four GKS Tychy players scored in double figures. Sokol Lancut maintains fourth place with 13-7 record. GKS Tychy at the other side dropped to the seventh position with 12 games lost. They share it with Pruszkow and Pogon Prudnik. Sokol Lancut will play against higher ranked STK Czarni (#3) in Slupsk in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. GKS Tychy will have a break next round.
