Regular Season Round 16: Wolverines - Abaco Strong 83-80

Fifth-ranked Abaco Strong (3-8) made lots of trouble for third ranked Wolverines (7-7) in Nassau. Wolverines managed to secure only three-point victory 83-80. However their fans expected easier game. Wolverines dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Abaco Strong's 36. Wolverines forced 21 Abaco Strong turnovers. Abaco Strong was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American Dominique Fernander (, college: Hobart) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds. Tomeko Moxey contributed with 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Wolverines players scored in double figures. Malik Penn replied with 36 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Tevin Hudson added 14 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Abaco Strong. Wolverines have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted Wolverines maintains third position with 7-7 record having five points less than leader Rockets. Abaco Strong lost sixth consecutive game. Abaco Strong at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fifth place with eight games lost. Wolverines' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Nassau to the arena Rebels.
