Regular Season Round 31: Umea - Boras 68-102

Basketligan top team - Boras Basket (24-3) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed ninth ranked Umea (5-24) 102-68. The game without a history. Boras Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Boras Basket had a 30-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Zac Cuthbertson (201-96, college: Coastal) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 9 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Marcus Tyus (185-94, college: Omaha) helped adding 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Boras Basket players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Cole Welle (201-96, college: California) responded with 11 points and 6 rebounds and Canadian-Lithuanian point guard Evaldas Zabas (188-88) scored 13 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Boras Basket have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain first place with 24-3 record. Umea lost tenth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 24 games lost. Boras Basket will play against Wetterbygden (#5) in Huskvarna in the next round. Umea will play on the road against Sodertalje Kings (#4) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
