NBL top team - Kings (20-8) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they beat ninth ranked Illawarra Hawks (5-23) in Sydney 98-82. Kings looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American forward JaeSean Tate (193-95, college: Ohio St.) notched 19 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and the other American import point guard Casper Ware (178-90, college: LBSU) supported him with 19 points. Four Kings players scored in double figures. Even 26 points and 5 rebounds by guard Sunday Dech (196-94, college: Barry) did not help to save the game for Illawarra Hawks. Guard Angus Glover (192-98) added 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Kings maintains first position with 20-8 record. Illawarra Hawks lost tenth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 23 lost games.
