Regular Season Round 18: Kangoeroes - Mons-Hainaut 81-76

The biggest surprise took place in Mechelen where host Kangoeroes (8-8) beat league's leader Belfius Mons-Hainaut (11-5) 81-76 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Belfius Mons-Hainaut. Kangoeroes looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American Shavon Coleman (196-92, college: LSU) who scored 30 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Terry Deroover (178-91) chipped in 13 points and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Lennard Freeman (203-95, college: NC State) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and Serbian-Bosnian point guard Filip Adamovic (175-88, agency: 011 Sports) added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Five Belfius Mons-Hainaut players scored in double figures. Belfius Mons-Hainaut's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Kangoeroes moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Spirou and Leuven. Belfius Mons-Hainaut at the other side dropped to the second position with five games lost. They share it with Antwerp. They were replaced at the leadership position by Oostende. Belfius Mons-Hainaut will play next round against strong Antwerp Giants trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Kangoeroes will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
