Regular Season Round 20: Andujar - La Zubia 63-71

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when one of their biggest challengers Andujar (10-8) was defeated at home by fifth ranked La Zubia (10-8) 71-63 on Saturday. Strangely Andujar outrebounded La Zubia 48-31 including a 34-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Eloy Almazan (199-84) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Pablo Fernandez (188-93) who added 3 points and 10 assists during the contest. La Zubia's coach David Cardenas used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Swingman Bernardo Castillo (196-88) responded with 19 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Jose Martinez (203-88) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. La Zubia have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place in Group D-A, which they share with defeated Andujar. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
