There was no surprise when 10th ranked Navarra (9-13) lost to second ranked Estela (13-9) in Santander 62-73 on Saturday. Estela forced 20 Navarra turnovers. Quite impressive performance for Argentinian guard Juan Sutina (192-90, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 5 rebounds. Javier Lucas (207-86) contributed with 11 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Estela players scored in double figures. Estela's coach David Mangas used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. American point guard Lamonte Thomas (187-90, college: J.and Wales, RI) replied with 21 points and 5 rebounds and center Eduardo Hernandez-Sonseca (212-83) added 11 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Navarra. Estela maintains second position in Silver with 13-9 record having just two points less than leader UBU Tizona. Loser Navarra keeps the tenth place with 13 games lost.
