Everything went according to plan when first ranked Vic (17-1) beat at home bottom-ranked Calvia (6-12) 84-77 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of Jose Ortega (192-97) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Julian Garrote (185-82) who added 14 points during the contest. Vic's coach Adria Alonso used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Power forward Jose-Maria Morales (204-89) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and Jaume Valles (203-95) scored 13 points. Four Vic and five Calvia players scored in double figures. Vic have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group C-A with 17-1 record. Loser Calvia stay at the bottom place with 12 games lost. Vic will face Alfinden (#12) in Zaragoza in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Calvia will play at home against Arenys and hope to win that game.
