Regular Season Round 25: Dax-Gamarde - Vitre 77-90

Everything could happen in Gamarde les Bains at the game between two tied teams. Both seventh ranked Vitre and 9th ranked Dax-Gamarde had identical 11-13 record. But Dax-Gamarde was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Vitre 90-77 on Saturday night. Vitre shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. It was a very good performance for American guard Robert Turner (188-93, college: Texas Tech) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Guillaume Merie (198-83) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Gauthier Darrigand (184-82) answered with 19 points and center Tanguy Ramassamy (204-90) added 17 points in the effort for Dax-Gamarde. Vitre maintains seventh place in Group A with 12-13 record, which they share with Bordeaux. Newly promoted Dax-Gamarde keeps the ninth position with 14 games lost. Vitre will face higher ranked SO Maritime Boulogne (#3) in Boulogne-sur-Mer in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Dax-Gamarde will play on the road against the league's leader Etoile Angers (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
