Second Stage Round 10: Rubon - Tsmoki-Minsk R. 79-82

The most exciting game of round 10 in the Premier League took place in Vitebsk. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of much higher ranked Rubon (14-6) to fourth ranked Tsmoki-Minsk R. (14-6) 82-79 in the game for the second place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Rubon. Rubon was trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 25-20 charge of Tsmoki-Minsk R., which allowed them to win the game. Point guard Uladzislau Blizniuk (183-99) fired 29 points for the winners. Center Vadzim Stubeda (205-0) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. Russian forward Pavel Novikov (192-96) produced 19 points and the former international forward Victor Ovsepyan (200-91) added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Rubon players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Tsmoki-Minsk R. have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Grodno-93 and Rubon. Tsmoki-Minsk R. is looking forward to face league's leader COR-Borisfen in Mogilev in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Rubon will play at home against Tsmoki II and is hoping to win this game.
