Regular Season Round 24: Sokol Lancut - STK Czarni 73-79

An interesting game for STK Czarni (15-7) which played road game in Lancut against one of their biggest challengers Sokol Lancut (13-8). Third ranked STK Czarni managed to get a 6-point victory 79-73. The winners were led by swingman Damian Janiak (195-89, agency: Promotex) who scored that evening 18 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and power forward Wojciech Fras (202-91) supported him with 11 points and 10 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Five STK Czarni players scored in double figures. Even 18 points and 6 rebounds by point guard Dawid Zagula (185-96) did not help to save the game for Sokol Lancut. Swingman Bartlomiej Karolak (199-92) added 15 points. Sokol Lancut's coach Dariusz Kaszowski let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. STK Czarni maintains third position with 15-7 record behind leader WKK Wroclaw. Loser Sokol Lancut keeps the fourth place with eight games lost. STK Czarni will meet at home GKS Tychy (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Sokol Lancut will play against Pruszkow (#7) and hope to secure a win.
