Regular Season Round 24: Kleb Ferrara - A.Costa IM 89-68

Very expected game when 9th ranked A.Costa IM (10-14) was smashed on the road by fourth ranked Kleb Ferrara (14-10) 89-68 on Saturday. Kleb Ferrara outrebounded A.Costa IM 47-26 including a 19-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a good game for American point guard Sekou Wiggs (193-94, college: Alaska-Anch.) who led his team to a victory with 29 points. The former international power forward Tommaso Fantoni (204-85, agency: Players Group) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Kleb Ferrara's coach Spiro Leka felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Stefano Masciadri (200-89) replied with 17 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and American point guard Timothy Bowers (188-82, college: Mississippi St.) added 11 points and 5 assists in the effort for A.Costa IM. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kleb Ferrara maintains fourth position in A2 with 14-10 record. Loser A.Costa IM dropped to the tenth place with 14 games lost. Kleb Ferrara will face JuveCaserta (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. A.Costa IM will play against Orzinuovi and hope to win that game.
