No shocking result in a game when third ranked Fontedoso Carrefour (13-4) outleveled on the road 12th ranked Univ.Valladolid (5-12) 82-63 on Saturday. Fontedoso Carrefour forced 20 Univ.Valladolid turnovers and had a 25-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. Univ.Valladolid was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Jaume Lobo (180-97) who helped to win the game recording 40 points (!!!) and French forward Ibrahima Diagne (207-95, college: Northern NM) who added 11 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Forward Pedro Gonzalez (195-89) responded with 14 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Alejandro Pescador (180-97) scored 14 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Fontedoso Carrefour have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in Group A-B, which they share with Chantada. Univ.Valladolid lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with 12 games lost. Fontedoso Carrefour will face Obradoiro S. (#6) in Santiago de Comp in the next round. Univ.Valladolid will play on the road against Betanzos (#9) and hope to win that game.
