Regular Season Round 18: Korikouvot - HBA-Marsky 63-76

The game between Top Four teams took place in Kouvola. 3rd ranked host Korikouvot (9-8) lost to top-ranked HBA-Marsky (19-0) 76-63. The game without a history. HBA-Marsky led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Mustapha Amzil (202-1) scored 9 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Tomas Pihlajamaki (190-0) chipped in 13 points during the contest. HBA-Marsky's coach Jukka Toijala used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American forward James Suber (201-95, college: CSU Bakersfield) with 15 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Vili Nyman (198-98) scored 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. HBA-Marsky maintains first position in Division with 19-0 record. Korikouvot at the other side dropped to the fifth place with eight games lost. HBA-Marsky will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Korikouvot will play on the road against Kristika Turku (#8) in Turun and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
