Regular Season Round 21: IK Eos - AIK Basket 97-90

No shocking result in a game when second ranked IK Eos (17-3) beat 6th ranked AIK Basket (10-11) in Lund 97-90 on Saturday. AIK Basket trailed by 12 points at halftime and as many as 18 after three quarters before a 38-27 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 90-97 at the end of the game. IK Eos made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 AIK Basket turnovers. It was a good game for guard David Niklasson (193-95, college: N.Platte CC) who led his team to a victory with 35 points (!!!). Forward Andreas Von-Uthmann (197-96) contributed with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four IK Eos players scored in double figures. IK Eos' coach Xavier Hernandez used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international guard Serkan Inan (201-86) answered with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Felix Lemetti (188-99, college: Fairfield) added 22 points in the effort for AIK Basket. IK Eos have an impressive series of thirteen victories in a row. They maintain second place with 17-3 record behind leader KFUM Fryshuset. AIK Basket at the other side keeps the sixth position with 11 games lost. IK Eos are looking forward to face league's leader KFUM Fryshuset in Stockholm in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. AIK Basket will play at home against Trelleborg (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
