An interesting game for Groningen (16-4) which hosted in Groningen second-ranked Den Bosch (14-6). First ranked Groningen managed to get a 10-point victory 79-69. 25 personal fouls committed by Den Bosch helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American-Latvian Andrew Smith (206-92, college: Liberty) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. American swingman Matt Williams-Jr (196-93, college: UCF, agency: Mansfield and Associates) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Four Groningen players scored in double figures. American-Italian swingman Henry Caruso (193-95, college: Santa Clara) replied with 18 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Elijah Wilson (193-94, college: Coastal, agency: Mansfield and Associates) added 17 points in the effort for Den Bosch. Groningen maintains first position with 16-4 record. Den Bosch at the other side dropped to the third place with six games lost. Groningen are looking forward to face BA Limburg (#6) on the road in the next round where they are favorite.
