There was a minor upset when 5th ranked Pistoia (12-7) was defeated at home by seventh ranked Cagliari CUS (11-8) 68-62. They made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Cagliari CUS forced 20 Pistoia turnovers. It was a good game for Slovenian power forward Ana Ljubenovic (185-88) who led her team to a victory with 17 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Erika Striulli (170-90) contributed with 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Cagliari CUS players scored in double figures. Guard Veronica Perini (175-88) answered with 16 points and 6 rebounds and forward Carolina Pappalardo (184-96) added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Pistoia. Pistoia's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Cagliari CUS maintains seventh place in A2 with 11-8 record. Pistoia at the other side keeps the fifth position with seven games lost.
