Regular Season Round 37: Saga B. - Tokyo HT 103-87

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Saga B. as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Saga B. defeated 5th ranked Tokyo HT at home 103-87. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Tokyo HT. Saga B. made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game. 28 personal fouls committed by Tokyo HT helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Americans were the main players on the court. Trey Gilder (206-85, college: Northwestern St.) stepped up and scored 34 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds for the winners and power forward Gary Hamilton (208-84, college: Miami, FL, agency: Inception Sports) chipped in 12 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Saga B. players scored in double figures. Saga B.'s coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side center Shaquille Morris (203-94, college: Wichita St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 16 rebounds and forward Lance Goulbourne (203-89, college: Vanderbilt) scored 18 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Saga B. (27-10) have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Toyoda Gosei. Tokyo HT at the other side keeps the fifth place with 18 games lost. Tokyo HT will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Saga B. will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Tokyo HT at home.
