Not a big story in a game in Las Palmas where 11th ranked Picken Claret (5-13) was defeated by third ranked Gran Canaria (13-4) 93-84 on Saturday. Gran Canaria outrebounded Picken Claret 38-21 including 24 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Mali power forward Sika Kone (190-2) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 20 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). American guard Sparkle Taylor (178-95, college: UTEP) chipped in 25 points and 7 rebounds. Gran Canaria's coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest.
