Regular Season Round 18: ADBA - Estudiantes 48-85

Leader ASEFA Estudiantes delivered the seventeenth win on Saturday night. This time they crushed 13th ranked ADBA (2-16) 85-48 in Aviles. ASEFA Estudiantes dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to ADBA's 24. They outrebounded ADBA 44-24 including a 28-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American Leslie Knight (184-86, college: Minnesota) who scored 23 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Irene San-Roman (180-92) chipped in 15 points and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Portuguese point guard Marcia Carvalho (170-92) who recorded 17 points and American forward Deangelique Waithe (183, college: LIU Brooklyn) added 6 points and 6 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. ASEFA Estudiantes (17-1) have an impressive 16-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group A. ADBA lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with 16 games lost. ASEFA Estudiantes are looking forward to face Patatas Hijolusa (#8) in Leon in the next round and are hoping to win another game. ADBA will play at home against Real Canoe (#6) and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
