The game between closely ranked teams ended with eighth ranked Cazorla's (6-12) home victory over bottom-ranked Mijas Quabit (4-13) 78-70 on Saturday. Cazorla dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Mijas Quabit's 24. Cazorla forced 21 Mijas Quabit turnovers. Mijas Quabit was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of center Pedro Romera (210-88) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points and 16 rebounds and Greek-Swedish guard Dimitris Agathangelidis (185-98) who added 15 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Guard Pepe-Jose Rodriguez (187-98) responded with 13 points and 8 rebounds and Pedro Lopez (-0) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Four Mijas Quabit players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Cazorla moved-up to seventh place in Group D-A, which they share with Benahavis. Mijas Quabit lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the bottom position with 13 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
