Regular Season Round 38: Toyoda Gosei - Tokyo CR 88-97

The most important game in the last round took place in Aichi between second ranked Toyoda Gosei (27-11) and ninth ranked Tokyo CR (15-24) on Sunday night. Toyoda Gosei was defeated by Tokyo CR in a tough game at home 88-97. Tokyo CR shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 58.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was swingman Michael Craig (196-91, college: S.Mississippi) who had a triple-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 15 assists. Center Joshua Crawford (211-88, college: Indiana St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 25 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. JD Weatherspoon (198-92, college: Toledo) produced 31 points and 9 rebounds and Patrick Simon (203-92, college: Seattle Pacific) added 18 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Tokyo CR maintains ninth position with 15-24 record. Toyoda Gosei at the other side keeps the second place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Iwate Big Bulls and Aisin AW. Tokyo CR are looking forward to face higher ranked Iwate Big Bulls (#4) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Toyoda Gosei will play against Kanazawa and is hoping to win this game.
