Serie A1 top team - Schio (17-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fourteenth ranked Battipaglia (2-17) 70-48. Schio players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was a quality performance for the former international power forward Jasmine Keys (187-97) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Spanish guard Leonor Rodriguez-Manso (180-91, college: FSU) accounted for 9 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Schio's coach Pierre Vincent felt very confident using 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Australian swingman Alex Ciabattoni (183-94) came up with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and American power forward Tori Jarosz (189-92, college: Marist) added 15 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Battipaglia in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for Schio. Defending champion maintains first place with 17-2 record. Battipaglia lost their sixth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 17 games lost. Schio will play against Palermo (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Battipaglia will play against the league's second-placed Venezia (#2) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
